It had rained all day and as evening came we watched the storm clouds on the opposite shore of the lake. Suddenly a bright spot pierced the clouds and slowly the faintest hints of red and coral began to appear. Before my eyes colors began to form from left to right until I could see all the colors of a rainbow.
It was an amazing moment! I’ve never watched a rainbow form like this before. It never really became a complete bow – only a segment between the clouds and the shore – then as the sun began to set, the colors faded. Still, I was awestruck by the Creator’s marvelous mysterious handiwork and the reminder of His everlasting promise.
I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. Genesis 9:13-14
